It's only when someone leaves this world that you reflect on their impact on your life. I have such fond memories of Hilary from tiny years up to a couple of years ago when I saw her last. I still play music on the recorder, and I'm sure many people in Gressenhall will have found a love of music-playing through Hilary's work over the years. But she was more than just a music teacher - she was a friend to me and my family over decades. We went to concerts, compared notes on guinea-pig management and I still have the most beautiful stitched doll's clothes which she made for me. A lovely, kind and generous woman; may she rest in peace.
